Dear FUTURE VOLUNTEER : Here’s What YOU SHOULD KNOW
I joined The Kind Citizen thinking I’d just give a little time and effort, but what I got back was so much more.
Hi, I’m Avnee Aggarwal, and I began this journey as a volunteer. Today I’m proud to say that I’m interning at TKC and it has truly shaped who I am.
In these few months I’ve done seva at Bangla Sahib, served langar, painted school walls, made pottery with children battling cancer, poured Rooh Afza at volunteering programs, visited orphanages, and distributed sandwiches in slum areas. But more than that, I’ve felt something deeper — empathy for people I never knew, and gratitude for things I once took for granted.
TKC gave me not just opportunities to serve, but also space to grow as a person, a leader, and a team member. It taught me how even small acts of kindness can leave a lasting impact. It gave me a chance to connect, create, and contribute.
What started as volunteering turned into a life changing journey.
And the best part? I found a family in The Kind Citizen.
If any of this moved you even a little, come. Be a part of TKC.
Because the joy of giving is something you have to feel to understand.
